“Put all imaginations away, and stand fast in that which you are.” – Kabir

Kuro Ito is not only the name of a brand but the very essence of its creations. Kuro Ito, 'with nothing other than that', silently stitches together the meditation, self-contemplation, and intuitive minimalistic power of Japanese influence, with the warp and weft of natural silk and the innate vibrant combinations of Indian colours.

The fine garments made from high quality silk, have come together in the heart of Chandni Chowk in Old Delhi. With the help of a beautiful family who, for several generations, have been producing silk in their factories in the Silk City of Bangalore and trading them in Chandni Chowk.  It was a most fulfilling journey through old narrow lanes of this bustling bazaar to reach my destination.  If you have ever  been to India, you will know there is no other place on our planet, where you can learn more about colors and pattern the way you can from Indian people since they mastered it over generations.

Then the lovely Masterji (Tailor) skillfully turned these beautiful fabrics into garments we designed. I’m very grateful to have met Sushmita: without her kindness, help and motivation this would not have turned out the way it did.

Silk Fabric

Silk fabric was first developed in ancient China. The earliest example of silk fabric is from 3630 BC, and it was used as wrapping for the body of a child from a Yangshao culture site in Qingtaicun at Xingyang, Henan.

Natural fibres such as silk and cotton have a greater ability to attract, imbibe and retain divine frequencies from the atmosphere.

To protect from attacks of negative energies: If the clothes we wear are able to harness positive energy, then in doing so they are able to protect us from negative energies.
